On April 10, 2025, the School of Economics and Management (SEM) at China University of Petroleum (East China) received official notice from the Initial Accreditation Committee (IAC) of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) confirming that the School’s Initial Self-Evaluation Report (iSER) had been successfully approved.
This marks a significant milestone in SEM’s pursuit of AACSB International Accreditation and represents an important step forward following the School’s approval of the Eligibility Application (EA) in November 2023. The successful iSER approval lays a solid foundation for enhancing the School’s internationalization and further aligning with global standards in business education.
AACSB accreditation is one of the School’s top strategic priorities and a key initiative for improving its core competitiveness under the framework of international development. The successful completion and approval of the iSER reflects the collective dedication of SEM’s entire faculty, staff, and student body, as well as the strong support and collaboration of all stakeholders.
Moving forward, the School will continue to leverage the AACSB accreditation process as a catalyst for development. Guided by feedback from the IAC and in alignment with the latest AACSB accreditation standards, SEM will further strengthen its efforts in teaching, research, community engagement, and international collaboration. These efforts aim to enhance the School’s academic standing, discipline development, and overall impact both domestically and internationally. SEM is committed to achieving full AACSB accreditation at an early date and to writing a new chapter in the high-quality development of global business education.
