Program Orientation
This program is designed to meet the talent needs of China’s national energy strategy and regional development. It trains high-caliber management professionals with systems thinking and innovation capabilities, aiming to become a top-tier, energy-featured engineering management program recognized nationally and globally.
Historical Development
The program originated as Management Engineering in 1983 and was renamed Engineering Management in 1998. To date, over 2,000 graduates have been trained. It is supported by the university’s first-level discipline in Management Science and Engineering, which obtained doctoral status in 2012 and was rated B in the fourth national discipline assessment.

The average initial employment rate is 91.06% over the past three years.
§Further Study: 31.28% pursue graduate degrees at prestigious universities, such as Shanghai Jiao Tong, Harbin Institute of Technology, Tongji University, Tianjin University, CUP (East China), University of Melbourne, USC, University of Manchester, CityU of Hong Kong, and Moscow State University.
§Employment: Graduates join top employers including CNPC, Sinopec, CNOOC, China State Construction, China Railway Construction, and Evergrande.
