From November 15 to 17, 2023, the AMBA & BGA Asia Pacific Conference was held in Bangkok, Thailand. The event brought together deans, party secretaries, and directors from over one hundred business schools across the Asia-Pacific region. Representing the School of Economics and Management (SEM), Party Secretary Wang Jun, Associate Dean Xu Xiaofeng, and staff involved in international accreditation attended the conference.

The conference facilitated in-depth discussions on critical topics related to business education and development, including lifelong learning, artificial intelligence, global leadership, sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship, leadership development, and experiential MBA education.
Having achieved BGA Gold Accreditation in December 2022, SEM engaged in meaningful exchanges during the conference. Secretary Wang Jun and Associate Dean Xu Xiaofeng held meetings with the AMBA & BGA Chair, members of the Accreditation Advisory Board, and accreditation experts to discuss the School’s progress in response to the 2023 BGA follow-up recommendations and to prepare for the upcoming re-accreditation process in 2025.
The SEM delegation also exchanged insights with other participating schools on the unique characteristics of their business programs and strategies for advancing internationalization. These interactions laid a solid foundation for deepening collaborations with leading international business schools and further enhancing SEM’s global visibility and impact.
