Abstract:
Generative artificial intelligence has accelerated the development of organizational innovative productivity, introducing new challenges for technology adoption in organizations. Many publicly listed enterprises remain hesitant to adopt generative AI due to insufficient organizational readiness—defined as the capacity to effectively embrace emerging technologies. This study conducts a discourse analysis of Q&A segments from earnings conference calls of 461 publicly listed companies, utilizing large language models to assist in decision-making and the classification of generative AI-related content within a theoretical framework. Based on this analysis, the study proposes a comprehensive framework for organizational readiness in generative AI adoption, comprising 26 measurement indicators across eight key constructs: Resource Readiness, IT Readiness, Cognitive Readiness, Partnership Readiness, Innovation Valence, Strategic Readiness, Cultural Readiness, and IT Governance Readiness. This research contributes to the theoretical development of GenAI adoption by combining discourse analysis and large language models, offering a scalable, systematic approach to understanding and developing readiness frameworks.
