Abstract
This seminar will present research findings on “A Century of Global Scientific Mobility: Patterns, Structures, and Divergence Effects.” In addition to sharing key insights from the study, the speaker will provide practical guidance on submitting to leading Chinese journals such as Management World, and reflect on lessons learned from submission experiences with both domestic and international journals.
Speaker Bio
Dr. Zhang Chao is an Assistant Research Fellow at the National Strategy Institute, Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include innovation ecosystems, complex network methods and applications, and innovation development policy.
He has led projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (General Program and Young Scholars Program), the Postdoctoral Special Funding Program, and a sub-project of the Major Advisory Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has also participated in numerous high-level projects, including the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, major projects of the National Social Science Foundation of China, key advisory projects of the China Association for Science and Technology, and research initiatives under the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Dr. Zhang has published extensively in journals such as Research Policy, R&D Management, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, and Science and Public Policy, as well as leading Chinese journals including Management World, Science Research Management, and Management Review. Several of his works have been reprinted in full by Xinhua Digest and the People’s University reprint series. He has also contributed to academic monographs and reports such as National Innovation Capacity Measurement and International Comparison and Report on National Science and Technology Competitiveness, many of which have informed policy recommendations.
