SEM Conducts Enterprise Visits to Explore New Pathways for Industry–Education Integration

On September 26, a delegation from the School led by Zhu Hua, Party Secretary of the School, Jian Ling, Deputy Dean (Acting Dean), and Meng Zhaogang, Deputy Party Secretary, visited several enterprises to conduct field research and explore new models of industry–education integration. The delegation visited Sinopec Group Shared Services Co., Ltd. Dongying Branch and the Digital-Intelligent Management Service Center of Shengli Oilfield, focusing on enhancing the integration of Party building and business, promoting collaboration between academia and industry, and advancing specialized talent cultivation. Faculty members from the Department of Accounting, Department of Strategy and Marketing, and the Administrative Service Center also joined the visit.

At Sinopec Group Shared Services Co., Ltd. Dongying Branch, the delegation met with graduate students currently undertaking internships and held discussions with Xie Hongxue, Deputy General Manager and Party Committee Member of the company, as well as department heads from the Financial Services Division. Zhu Hua and Jian Ling expressed sincere appreciation for the company’s long-term support, particularly in co-establishing teaching and research bases and providing practical training opportunities for graduate students. They also introduced SEM’s recent developments, future plans, and directions for university–enterprise cooperation.

Xie Hongxue introduced the company’s development progress and Party building practices, noting the solid foundation and mutual trust between the two sides. Both parties agreed to deepen cooperation in joint Party building, talent cultivation, and scientific research, forming a collaborative and mutually beneficial relationship that promotes deeper university–enterprise integration.

At the Digital-Intelligent Management Service Center of Shengli Oilfield, the SEM delegation held a meeting with Tian Qingkai, Party Secretary and Deputy General Manager of the Center, Liu Baojun, Senior Expert of Shengli Oilfield, and heads of departments including Human Resources, R&D Management, Operations Management, Exploration and Development Applications, and Production IoT Services. Liu Baojun introduced the company’s progress in digital transformation, while Jian Ling presented SEM’s disciplinary strengths in Information Management and Big Data Applications. The two sides exchanged views on collaborative talent cultivation, digital empowerment of academic programs, and research cooperation, agreeing that their development strategies are highly aligned and that the prospects for partnership are promising.

During the visit, the delegation also toured the Enterprise Culture Corridor, gaining deeper insights into the company’s achievements in integrating Party building with business operations.

Moving forward, SEM will continue to strengthen university–enterprise collaboration, integrate resources, and promote the mutual empowerment of industry and education to achieve sustainable, high-quality development.
