To highlight role models and support the Class of 2025 freshmen in building effective study routines and clarifying their growth paths, the School held the “Rising Toward the Light, Steady Steps to the Horizon” Scholarship Recipient Experience-Sharing Session and a “Study & Share Hub” growth exchange (Economics and Accounting tracks) on December 2 in Room 207, South Teaching Building. Four student representatives were invited as speakers: Zhang Zhonghe (Accounting 2401), Cao Yuchen (Economics 2402), Zhu Ziqing (Accounting 2401), and Li Bingze (Accounting 2403).

Zhang Zhonghe focused on independent learning and explained why it matters from three perspectives: the characteristics of university coursework, the demands of a fast-changing era, and personal development planning. He emphasized that independent learning requires clear direction, methods, and rhythm. In practice, he introduced goal-setting based on the SMART framework, time management and task decomposition techniques, and tools such as mind maps and scheduling apps. He also recommended textbooks, online resources, and learning apps to help freshmen establish a structured self-directed learning system.

Cao Yuchen shared strategies for major courses and exam preparation, covering the full process from pre-class preview to in-class learning and final review. She suggested using online lecture videos and course slides to preview key content, capturing core points efficiently during class, and consolidating learning afterward through notes and practice exercises. For courses such as Advanced Mathematics and Python, she broke down grading components and stressed the importance of consistent performance throughout the semester alongside targeted final-review planning.

Zhu Ziqing presented a systematic approach to preparing for CET-4 and CET-6. Starting from the exam structure, she highlighted the value of practicing with past papers, recommended prioritizing listening and reading as key score drivers, and shared practical methods for improving writing and translation. She also encouraged students to manage anxiety, stay steady, and follow a realistic study plan.

Li Bingze concluded with tips on improving scholarship competitiveness and comprehensive evaluation scores. He explained the key components of the comprehensive evaluation system and, drawing on personal experience, introduced practical ways to earn and document relevant achievements, offering useful guidance for freshmen’s all-round development.

The session concluded with warm applause. The speakers’ sharing provided actionable solutions to common academic challenges and conveyed a mindset of proactive planning and steady accumulation. The School hopes that students will learn from these examples, refine their methods through study, strengthen their skills through practice, and write their own youth stories through concrete action.
