On November 18–19, 2025, AACSB’s Elevate: Asia Pacific conference was held in Hong Kong, China. A delegation from the School, led by Party Secretary Zhu Hua and including Associate Professor Han Min from the Department of Economics and Ms. Yating Feng from the Accreditation Office, attended the event by invitation. The conference brought together nearly 300 business school leaders from 22 countries and regions across Asia Pacific to exchange ideas on the future of business education.

Focusing on shared challenges and emerging trends, the conference featured keynote speeches, themed sessions, and roundtable discussions on topics such as digital transformation and artificial intelligence, societal impact and sustainability, talent development and career readiness, and revisions to accreditation standards. Participants shared institutional practices and reflections on curriculum innovation, quality assurance, and strategic development, highlighting how business schools worldwide are responding to technological change and growing external uncertainty.

During the conference, the School’s delegation also joined a dedicated session for universities from mainland China. Secretary Zhu introduced the School’s profile, disciplinary strengths, and overall progress toward AACSB accreditation. She shared the School’s recent thinking and initiatives in societal impact, talent cultivation, and accreditation-driven improvement, and engaged in in-depth discussions with representatives from leading business schools across the region. These exchanges further expanded the School’s international collaboration network.

The conference marked an important international engagement for the School as it approaches the conclusion of the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Through active participation in Elevate: Asia Pacific, the delegation gained timely insights into the latest developments in AACSB accreditation and the evolving landscape of business education. The experience also deepened the School’s understanding of AACSB standards and future directions, offering practical inspiration for next steps in AI-enabled teaching and learning, embedding sustainability into the curriculum, and strengthening societal impact. Moving forward, the School will build on this engagement to benchmark against leading business schools worldwide, stay anchored in its mission of cultivating quality talent, pursuing excellent scholarship, and promoting sustainable development, and accelerate progress toward AACSB accreditation—advancing toward the goal of becoming a leading business school rooted in China and distinguished by its focus on the energy sector.
