Jun 27th, The Shandong Science and Technology Conference was held in Jinan to commend the winners of the 2024 Shandong Science and Technology Award. Two projects from School of Geosciences received the awards. The project Formation of Nanopores and the Mechanism of Oil and Gas Accumulation in Shale, led by Professor Wang Min, won the second prize in natural science. The other project Modeling and Industrial Application of High Resolution Seismic and Imaging Technology for subtle reservoir in Deep water and deep Reservoirs, led by Professor Qu Yingming, won the second prize in Science and Technology Progress Award.
