To enhance the international atmosphere, create a global classroom, and promote people-to-people exchanges between Chinese and foreign youth, China University of Petroleum (East China) hosted the EduInspire 2025 Summer Camp from June 29th to July 12th.
The summer camp attracted 25 international students from renowned overseas universities including Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Spain), University of Maribor (Slovenia), Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (Russia), Tokyo University of Science (Japan), and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, alongside 21 students from UPC.

The 2025 camp focused on“Energy Transition in the AI Era”. It brought together faculty from world-leading institutions such as the University of Manchester (UK), Iowa State University (USA), Emory University (USA), Federal University of Piauí (Brazil), and UPC to deliver specialized courses. The curriculum featured subjects like Cultures of Oil Countries; Smart Chemistry for Sustainable Energy; Enabling Smart Environments through Internet of Things; Physics of Energy Sources; Low-Grade Energy Recovery; Organic Rankine Cycles (ORCs) for Waste Heat Recovery. These courses introduced cutting-edge theories and examples in the energy field, conveying the direction of energy transition and advanced technologies. With deep cross-disciplinary and cross-border dialogues, faculty and students at home and abroad actively participated in academic discussions and the exchange of ideas, so as to deepen mutual understanding.


During the camp, participants visited the university history museum to gain a profound understanding of our institution's development journey and achievements. They also immersed themselves in rich cultural experiences, including traditional Chinese painting, Chinese calligraphy, table tenniss kills, Chinese tea ceremony, Peking Opera, Taichiand Traditional Chinese Medicine Diagnosis. These activities provided valuable insights into Chinese cultural treasures and traditions. By learning these, membersof the camp grew within diverse cultural exchanges and forged lasting friendships.
